Software Developer (Tysons Corner, VA)

iMapData Inc, a Mclean based solutions provider with a focus on geospatial datasets, seeks a Software Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have experience creating .NET web pages experience with Microsoft BING maps or Virtual Earth highly beneficial.

Our startup atmosphere lends itself to different challenges everyday; a successful candidate will enjoy working on diverse tasks in a fast paced environment. We value the creativity of our employees and desire a person that takes ownership of their tasks and constantly seeks to improve both our products and their own technical skills. We also emphasize productivity over 'punching the clock' and provide an environment where staff can be both relaxed and focused.

Technologies the desired candidate should be familiar with include C#, Jquery, CSS, Javascript, SQL 2008 (with spatial capabilities focus), FME and Python. Having a proven history of learning and applying new technologies is more important than necessarily having all the listed skills.

A good fit for our team is someone with strong research/analytical skills who is always learning. We are a solutions provider and there are varied types of technologies used depending on the problem to be solved.
